Lady VANTAGE Mechanical 17 jewel Gold Gilt vintage 60's owned by Hamilton Watch

Many are not familiar with the Vantage Watch Co. and are surprised to find out it was owned by The Hamilton Watch Co. Vantage was to Hamilton what Caravelle was to Bulova. An attempt by Hamilton to compete with Japan Quartz and other inexpensive watches like Timex. They used quality components, especially their movements. This model has a FHF 691 which is a Swiss made 17 jewel mechanical set & Wind with stacked gold gilted plates for a sweep second hand as well as Incabloc shock protection on the balance. The case is chrome plated and round at 29mm in diameter. A raised crystal that is perfect and a radiant silver dial with large black raised markers and a red sweep second hand. The movement keeps decent time for a watch of the period and overall looks like new when on the wrist. It is fitted with a padded and soft black leather strap that will fit up to a 7 1/4" wrist.
