Fine Art Deco necklace by Helgen Mfg. Co., Providence, RI, circa 1930s. Features a cobalt blue step-cut glass pendant layered over frosted camphor glass with a bezel-set white topaz center. The pendant is framed in ornate sterling filigree and hangs from an elegant elongated link chain with openwork filigree stations.
Clasp is marked PAT. STERLING with Helgen’s hallmark — an “H" within triangles above and below, used around 1934. The sterling silver is rhodium plated, giving it a bright, tarnish-resistant finish that’s held up beautifully. A striking, authentic Deco piece with crisp geometry and that electric blue brilliance collectors love.
